Erasing Hell | A Response To Love Wins by Rob Bell
I have always been a fan of Rob Bell, not because I agreed with everything he said, but because I respected his ability to communicate. I have always believed in respecting and listening to people whose views differ from my own. I do this not because I agree with them, but because it is important for all followers of Jesus to love their fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, regardless of minor theological differences.
I do believe, though, that Rob has missed the mark on his new book Love Wins. Having read the book, the implications of some of the conclusions that he is drawing are troubling, and quite frankly, contradictory to the scriptures.
There have been many things written about the book (quite alot of thoughtful dissertations), so I am not going to do that here. I believe that this video by Francis Chan accurately speaks the thoughts I have toward the conclusions that Rob has published in his latest work.
